Suspended artists cannot log in to the site at all but their page is still visible.
Trusted students do not have to have their work approved by a publisher before it goes live.
What is a project?
Projects are teacher created pages which allow you to upload music, images, text and files.
Any music added to a project is NOT included in the charts – this allows you to upload commercial music to use as examples or to upload student work which you don’t want to be included in the national charts for any reason.
You can upload any kind of files (except .exe) as ‘Resources’ in a project.
Only your students can download resources from your projects.
Anybody can view your project and leave comments
Example Project – KS3 Music Module: Hooks
Upload some commercial songs as Trax to illustrate what hooks are.
Upload a word document work sheet as a Resource with more information about hooks
Upload a Cubase file as resource for students to use as a template
Upload a selection of instrumental parts as Samples for students to download and use in their own compositions
Write an introduction the project in the Profile
Write instructions and keep students up to date with new tasks in the Blog
Get students to leave reviews of the tracks as Comments
See a similar example at http://www.numu.org.uk/artist.asp?lngUserID=5622 as created by Music Consultant David Ashworth which is used in his lessons
